JAMES D. TABOR
PRESIDENTE DO DEPARTMENTO DE ESTUDOS RELIGIOSOS
DA UNIVERSIDADE DA CAROLINA DO NORTE, EM CHARLOTTE

James D. Tabor é doutor em Estudos Bíblicos, com ênfase nas Origens Cristãs e no Antigo Judaísmo, incluindo os Pergaminhos do Mar Morto, João Batista, Jesus, Thiago o irmão de Jesus e de Paulo. Autor renomado, sua atual pesquisa envolve o Judaísmo na Época de Jesus, Os Pergaminhos do Mar Morto e outros documentos antigos relativos à compreensão da história de Jesus. Seu livro mais recente, The Jesus Dynasty: The Hidden History of Jesus, His Royal Family, and the Birth of Christianity (A Dinastia de Jesus: A História Escondida de Jesus, Sua Família Real e o Nascimento do Cristianismo), foi publicado em abril de 2006. Tabor atua ainda como editor-chefe de uma nova tradução da Bíblia, The Transparent English Bible (A Bíblia Inglesa Transparente), com publicação prevista para 2008.

ANDREY FEUERVERGER
PROFESSOR DE MATEMÁTICA E ESTATÍSTICA DA UNIVERSIDADE DE TORONTO

Andrey Feuerverger graduou-se em Ciências, com ênfase em Matemática, pela Universidade McGill, e é doutor em Estatística pela Universidade da Califórnia, Berkeley. Atualmente, atua como professor de Matemática e Estatística na Universidade de Toronto. O Dr. Feuerverger ampliou os interesses da pesquisa em Teoria e Aplicações de Estatística, e é o autor de aproximadamente 50 publicações científicas relacionadas ao assunto. Ele também ministrou uma grande variedade de cursos de Estatística em todos os níveis e coordena a cadeira de Estatística da Universidade de Toronto.
