CSI

Atualmente, o trabalho dos investigadores de CSI não é tão glamouroso. Eles são responsáveis por recolher evidências, como: fibras, impressões digitais, pêlos ou outras partículas da cena do crime. A maior parte das suas funções é garantir que a evidência esteja protegida e seja transportada com segurança ao laboratório. Os CSI nem sempre são oficiais da polícia – muitos são especialistas em pesquisas profissionais. O trabalho deles é garantir que a cena do crime seja documentada e fotografada nos mínimos detalhes. Os CSI exigem que a cena do crime seja tocada o mínimo possível – isto evita que qualquer vestígio ou pistas sejam alterados ou destruídos.
