Anubis

Anubis era um deus antigo, guiando os mortos a caminho do submundo muito antes de Osíris ter se transformado em um deus importante. Entretanto, ao ajudar Ísis a mumificar Osíris depois de sua morte, ele também se tornou o santo benfeitor dos embalsamadores.
Anubis era associado com Ma’at, a deusa da justiça. Os egípcios acreditavam que quando você morresse, você viajaria pelo Corredor dos Mortos. Lá, Anubis pesaria o seu coração contra a pluma de Ma’at, estabilizando a balança primeiro para garantir exatidão. Se o seu coração pesasse mais do que a pluma, ele seria comido pelo demônio.
